Buying XC Skis

Hey all

I am wanting to XC ski cross train this winter, and would like to get some gear. Any of you have suggestions for places to get it cheap? (New or used)

mcgill ski team ski sale is happening in november sometime. that’s a good place.

I know that there used to be a good amount of choice in used XC equipment at the “poubelle du ski” but I don’t know if they still carry that around…

I also want to get into cross country skiing for cross training. after all cross country skiers do have the highest VO2 maxes. anyways I have never skied in my life and have NO idea where to even start with learning and getting equipment. any suggestions or help pointing me in the right direction would be great!
