CHIP Spinathon

Hey guys!

This is an event run by somebody I worked for … the CHIP spinathon raises money to run a summer camp for overweight teens, teaching them about exercise, nutrition, healthy attitudes, etc. It’s an amazing program, but, like most programs… needs funding… SO if anybody is interested, you can sign up – solo or in teams – to participate. I’ve attached a little info blurb and if you tell me you are interested I’ll email you the sign up sheet.

More info at http://www.chiprehab.com/english/fundraising.html

Thanks! and please let me know if you’re interested!

On Sunday, November 25, 2007, the CHIP SPIN for TEENS Spinathon will once again take place at the Mansfield Athletic Club. We hope you will join us for this amazing event and together, we will make the difference in the lives of overweight teenagers and people with heart disease, diabetes, obesity and cancer.

See pictures from last years event on our website at www.chiprehab.com. Share a bike with a family member, friend or colleague, or spin for the full 3 hours. It’s guaranteed to be even better than last year with great spinning, great food, and amazing prizes. This event is suitable for all fitness levels.

Once again, 4 Grand Prizes (2 bikes and 2 TV’s) will be awarded to the people who raise the most money in pledges by the day of the event.

Please feel free to forward this email to anyone who might be interested in participating. We look forward to seeing you! Register now as space is limited!

Hey!
That sounds like a lot of fun ! But… where does the money come from? Do we pay to spin? Do the sponsors give money for every hour we spin?

THanks !
Melodie

hey…

it seems that it’s $125 to spin the whole 3 hours or $100 / person in a team of three… but i’m about 90% sure that that money can be raised in pledges — and I guess you have to make up to that amount if you can’t raise it.

I’ll find out for sure asap…

yeah. so if it’s a team, then 3 people each have to raise $100… basically if you raise it, you don’t pay anything, but if not, you have to somehow give $100…

hope that helps!
