Guru sale

depends what you’re looking for
there are some good sales on nice wheels… $2300 for zipp 808/rear disk, $1650 for edge 1.45/dt240, $2000 for edge 1.25/extralite, the frames are on sale if you need one…
no full groups
bunch of odds and ends
minor sale on clothing, tires ($55+tax gp4000)

it was pretty picked over in the first 30 minutes

yeah, totally picked over at this point, unless you want some super high end stuff (brandons post) or super entry level wheelsets.

Nevermind then…Thanks for the heads up.

my expectations for this sale fell flatter than a cheap tent

what a crappy sale

I might be organizing a lift to KMI…need some parts and my shoes have almost had it. Just stop me from buying anything big, I might be moving really far and I can’t horde another frameset.

Not sure if you were still planning on going, jonathan, but something’s come up and I have to bail. Sorry.

KMI was great last year. i’d love a ride if anyone has room

same with myself (for KMI)!

Is there a link that one can go to, to check out this KMI thing.

I would also love a ride to KMI!

kmi is much more ridable, but still in unappealing industrial parts of the island. I won’t be going to the guru sale tomorrow either.

anyone going this weekend? also does anyone know if they sell components? I’m in greater need of drive chains as opose to entire bikes.

I was going to bike out friday afternoon, unless the weather is especially ugly. That way I won’t buy anything too big…

Based on what was there last year, there isn’t a huge need to rush to get there. If you could get there before the working stiffs can make it, it’s probably good, so friday afternoon is fine if you can’t get out earlier.

I will be out of town and won’t make it. Fairly upset about that.

Jason, are you going/able to give anyone a ride if they want to buy big things?

I’ll know today.

The website says that the sale doesn’t begin till noon anyways.

my advice: don’t bring your credit card, and only bring as much cash as you would bring to a booze-and-cocaine fueled bender in Las Vegas.

Trust me.

Don’t listen to Ben, bring your CC but make sure it’s in the hands of someone sensible like your non-cycling obsessed s/o.

Adam bouchard, back me up on this one. You’ve seen what can happen.

let’s just say, in the last two years alone I have spend well over $2500. At the KMI sale.
