We’ll drive down to Sutton (1-1.5hrs), ride from there and do the 90-100km loop around Jay Peak. The roads are beautiful and the ride is amazing. It has 2 long climbs (10km and 9km) and is flat/rolling otherwise.
We’ll naturally split up on the hills but everyone will wait at the top! No one will be left behind. Everyone is welcome, as long as you’re comfortable riding in a group.
At this point, the plan is quite tentative. I may be able to get a car but if anyone can supply their own car then let me know ASAP!
I haven’t joined a McGill ride yet but this ride sounds interesting. I presume an early departure on Friday? BTW, I do not own a vehicle so please let me know availability (and space) IF this ride does happen…
Wait, change of plans - I can no longer make it on Friday; Thursday does work for me though.
Are people able to make Thursday?
Danby - sorry champ, this is gonna be a weekday affair
Tommy - yeah I can map out the loop for you. It’s pretty straight forward. Are you good for Thursday?
Christine - this is indeed a great/interesting ride! I have no idea how experienced you are on the bike but if you haven’t done many group rides then this might be a little ambitious. However, if you’ve got a fair bit of experience and miles behind you and are willing to take it on then by all means, you should come!
Guys, it’s supposed to be raining there all day thursday and I’m looking a little busier than expected. I’m gonna have to pull out of this ride but feel free to organize it amongst yourselves
