People are beginning to ask about our warehouse sale. We have set the
dates and tentative times:
Friday Nov 20 Noon to 6PM
Sat Nov 21 10AM to 3PM
Sun Nov 22 10AM to 3PM
The times might change by a hour here or there but that is pretty much it.
This year is going to be a good one. We have expanded our linecard
this year with a couple of key additions such as Lapierre while our
winter business is going through the roof. As a consequence we have
taken over more space and will be running the sale next door to our
usual location ( 764 Lajoie Avenue Dorval) and the set up will be much
better and more efficient.
Another consequence of the increased success with some lines is that
we are rationalizing and cutting out some other lines completely.
Perfectly good products, but something has to give so we can
concentrate on the lines that are growing. Look for some major full
line clear outs. In addition we have a lot of OEM component stock.
Some parts have changed in small details for next year while in other
cases they are current product, but changes of spec we have made for
our bikes next year have meant that we no longer need them. In both
cases they have to go. As you know, we tend to spec pretty nice parts
on our bikes so there will be some interesting stuff available.
As mentioned earlier one of the major changes we have made is the
addition of Lapierre, the largest bike line in France for independent
bike shops. As a result we will no longer be importing the Commencal
line and will clearing out all of their MTBs.
We also cleared out some old litterature and such so there will be
lots of catalog and posters to give away.
I guess that would be the right time to buy the replacement for the bent linkage I have in my suspension system (of my commencal bike, as I guess no one will carry the parts afterward…)
my dad will be working downtown friday morning and probably able to give a lift out to the sale noon/early afternoon - car can probably fit 4 + driver.
oh my god, I think between the 6 McGill cycling members/groupies that showed up that I know of, we collectively spent well over $5000. Herjo got a down hill bike (which he practically STOLE it was so cheap) Nick got some fancy italian wheels, Jason got some fancy italian gears and stuff, I also got some italian gears, and etc etc.
I got a full centaur carbon groupset, chorus carbon square taper crankset, new saddle, new stem, new seatpost, bunch of tires, wheelbags, bar tape, etc.
I also scored (for free) a whole box of sturmey archer internal hubs, some drum brake hubs and some other misc old mech stuff.
I have one internal hub working so far. The rest will entertain me after my thesis is done. I’ll probably just keep enough to build up one bike and give the rest away.
