@Dominique, I might just do the Lasalle loop and skip KOM. Don’t think that I’m supposed to do intense efforts like KOM.

Anyone want to join me for post-KOM riding? I have class at 11:30am so I plan to ride around the cemetery and Westmount. “Easier” climbing!
Also an important reminder (with a possible exception for the first introductory KOM) :
In order for people to be able to make 8:30 class, or for the other half of contenders to make work on time, it’s important to SHOW UP BEFORE 6:30.
6:30 is intended to be departure time. If you don’t know where you’re going or what you’re doing, plan to arrive at 6:15.
Of all McGill rides, this is the only one that needs to have the bla bla kept to a minimum!
On a side note, I thought it could be cool to reintroduce Remembrance into the KOM competition, as we use to have it in the first year. That would mean, right after the Houde climb, going down to Cote-des-neiges, and back up remembrance. That’s a climb involving an element of strategy, because it’s possible to go on a break-away, or to sit it out until the final 100m.
I thought remembrance was the finishing sprint after the second last climb of the morning in the cemetery. That way you finish KOM at the summit of Houde!
This is starting Remembrance all the way at Cote-Des-Neiges, so it’s a long gradual one.
I’m super excited for this year’s KOMs, but I’m gonna have to sit this week’s one out… but please don’t follow my lead, you should show up. Have fun and I’ll see you all next week.
