free shipping too. That’s pretty nuts considering the company is pretty quality. They have all sizes so i though i’d throw this up there in case some of the new people don’t have a lot of bibs yet.
Do you think that you will need to pay local import duties from good old customs Canada?
They usually waive duty for goods under $20, and goods over $20 I’ve had mixed luck with.
Speaking of which, does anyone know where to get decent custom made jerseys/bibs?? The best quality for the cheapest price.
I found some sites but I feel an actual bike shop would be simpler…
Thanks
custom made??? I’ve never heard of anyone with custom bibs.
what’s the rule of thumb for sizes for ordering bibs? Do you go with your actual waist size? one smaller? I’ve never only just got my first bib a few weeks ago, and it was the McGill Cycling one (ie: no waist size specifications)…
Eytan: I ordered using the sizing guide on the site which is waist in inches. I chose size 5 and i wear a medium in the McGill kit. Sort of crossing my fingers though as i’ve never worn this brand.
My apologies for the confusion. I need to get a custom designed kit for Concordia. Basically with the team colors, logos, etc. Any suggestions?
I may have two other guys who would potentially, in the near future, want to join the team and race. Would that be cool?
Thanks
Champ-Sys is decent for custom kits but requires a minimum of 10 orders. Hincapie also makes custom stuff but I think they quality is worse than Champ-Sys. Pearl Izumi also does customs but cost quite a bit but awesome quiality. So you would need a minimum of 10 bib shorts or 10 jerseys or 10 jackets. We ordered from them in the past and found out but if you want solid white its an additional $10 per garment. Apparently nothing comes stock in white and they had to dye it for us…yet they have orange and other bizarre colors…The quality is not bad but don’t waste your money on the socks; they suck. Also, you can possibly submit a sponsorship packet to them and get the stuff dirt cheap. It might be too late for sponsorships though, I dunno it’s been a while since I’ve dealt with that stuff. Galasso, if you do start this up let me know. I go to Concordia and might buy a kit.
Sorry to further this message. To submit a design you can just scan a drawn example of your kit and email it to Champ-Sys. It can be done in crayon if you want. We used Photoshop which was perfect. Submit it to them, they work it out, send you a proof copy, you then confirm and pay a deposit. They process the order and in 6 or so weeks you pay off the rest of the amount and they mail the kits. Fairly simple process and feels like Christmas when it arrives
ya i saw that sizing guide. Guess I wasn’t sure whether i wanted to get my actual size or smaller given how tight its supposed to fit. good heads up though. thanks!
We had stuff from champion systems before, definitely the quality is not up with the suarez bibs we have now. If you want us to hook you up with Suarez for your team, we could probably get you a pretty good deal since we have ordered so much stuff from them.
hey, organizing a team at Concordia is a great idea! there must be many riders there just waiting for a leader!
I just ordered kits for UdeM from Louis Garneau. Their top quality custom BIB with top shamy, and full zipper jersey came to about $140 for 50 kits (tax and shipping included). It’s the nicest quality BIBs i own. I don’t think you’ll be able to order from any company for just 3 kits though… Usually the minimum is 12. Or it will cost you a fortune, hence the interest of putting up posters throughout your school to recruit people!
good luck
Thanks for the answers guys!! This does help… I will check them both out.
The guy you emailed you a week or so ago, Howard Mamane, needs to pay his team fees. I guess we will figure it out when you get back from South Carolina.
I wasn’t aware that you went to Concordia. This is good news. We could use another rider as Concordia is willing to fund us so long as we have four riders. I already have another rider, if you were to join, we would have three. If you know anyone else, bring them on too.
That is one of the reasons I am trying to get these custom design kits.

Last semester I posted something on the ConU facebook page about starting up a team but had little success and just didn’t have time to pursue the matter. I had 2 people reply. Not sure what their status is now but I’ll get back in touch with them. Hope this works out!
i go to concordia & i’d totally be down for this
