Samosa Sale WED March 24

So, with little time to spare, I just got an email confirming a table booking in Arts for C@M for a Samosa sale on WEDNESDAY MARCH 24th.
We will ALSO STILL be having the bake sale on the 29th, but you’ll be reminded about that later on.

What I need to know is whether or not there will be willing volunteers to sell- think max two hour shifts, beginning around 11 (when I believe they are delivered…) and ending around 4, latest. I only need about 4 other volunteers who can be around throughout the day.

Please sign up ASAP and include times; the booking must be canceled before the 21st if we don’t want to get penalized.

what’s samosa?

i can do a two hour shift pretty much whenever you need me. where do we pick up the samosa’s from.

and for kammerlaan: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samosa

i can do a shift after 12:30.

Do volunteers get to eat the odd samosa? If so, I can help.

Why does mcgill seem to like samosas so much?

Ben, if what you mean to say is you don’t really like samosas, then I am Totally with you on that one.

I have actually never had one. I think I will come out and try one though

K I’ll keep the booking. I don’t know why they like them, I just know that it happens and it is an expected snack in the leacock lobby. They sell out in a few hours. I think you could maybe have one under the table pete. But only you
@ allison- the biggest need is after 2, when I have to start doing hw/class.

hahah thanks ben !
i work at 1 but if people are needed b4, im available after 11.30

I would defend samosas to my death. Except for the fact that I practically overdosed on the weekly physics sales samosa sales. Spices in fried food. What can be better? Saddly I’ll be working.

Apart from being delicious and filling, they also have a huge profit margin compared to other lunch-type foods, hence the reason why groups like us sell them to fundraise. Plus the abundance of lebanese/middle eastern restaurants in downtown montreal might have something to do with their popularity as well.

Pete, you forgot to imply the inherent sketchinness involved in this to-door delivery of Samosas in bulk.
On that note, I’ve ordered them and everything is a go on Wednesday. They will arrive between 11.30 and noon.
Soooo, volunteers,
if anyone wants to come and wait with me a bit before 11.30, that’d be great. Katherine, if you could come to the Leacock Lobby (by the elevators on the first floor in the Leacock building, NOT the Arts building) and stay for an hour or so I’d appreciate it. Any other drop by, also welcome.
Ben blake. I expect you to come and buy samosa until you are no longer stringy.
Allison, could you come circa 1.30?
Any one else intending to come help, I have class at 2.30; don’t leave allison alone here. Remember this is helping us to go to the races!!

AND DON’T FORGET THERE WILL BE A BAKE SALE ON MONDAY 29TH.

any concerns: 514.621.2640

Also. don’t hesitate to be geeks and wear the marino jersey or your cycling cap. we need to use this as a publicity event as well as a fundraiser.
Ben, do we have any banner or maybe I could grab a poster for the MADE event. If you’re free to drop one off in the middle of the day- help to cover essential lunch hour at 12.30, that’d be wonderful

I’ll show up a 14h00.

I can be there at 2pm as well, repping C@M with Pete and allison. WHO HAS THOSE MADE POSTERS! I’m all out!

i’m game for 11:30-12:30

I still have some made posters. I’ll get in touch with Veronica to get her one.

Hey everyone- looks like we’ll sell out before 2-- no need for the later volunteers. thanks to all though!

it’s probably because i’m so good looking, just saying.
