FYI. Unfortunately I am working this Sat and will be unable to organize any club ride. So, this is a call for anyone else to set something up. The past two Saturdays we rode the Mt St Hilaire and St. Remi routes. So, perhaps it is time for a West Island ride and to do something to balance KOM and F1 sprints/pacelines. The weather looks promising. Wish I could ride! Cheers, Charles
I’ll run the ride this weekend.
Route TBD but it will be about 100km, everyone should be able to keep up Beginner-Advanced levels, focussing on endurance
Meet at 9am
I’m most likely in… got the start of a cold that I am hoping will go away.
how about heading north to Laval and grabbing an espresso in Terrebonne? Just a thought…
jim
If you know the route, sure.
I don’t know my way around there too well.
Otherwise I am thinking south shore
Graeme, please come on this ride
i could get us there and around as I go there pretty often but it’s your call brandon. it’s a little long getting across the island but i usually use the time to work on spinning and not worry about going fast. jim
What time will this ride be starting at and what time will it end? If it is a morning thing then Im up for it.
Sounds good
9:00 am is fine w/me for a 100km ride. Where is the meeting place? Thanks. See you there.
9:00 am at the Roddick Gates should work.
I’d love to join… might get dropped like a hot potate though.
I think I’ll come out. Only problem is I have to put in 25km to get my forgotten helmet before I meet up with you guys.
I’ll try to be there. Don’t worry Grace, I’ll probably get dropped too.
Sorry can’t make it got to get a new chain.
Yeah Josef - Nybom legit snapped a chain shortly after you left. Freaky day at the F1 track.
LOL
Was he sprinting to. Daves wheel we noticed on the way back was out of true, so you should probably check your bike out.
Just to make sure.
Hello everyone, I’m new here. Thought I’d check out the ride tomorrow, I haven’t ridden with a club before so this should be a new experience for me! I would consider myself an intermediate rider however I don’t want to be holding anyone back tomorrow, I guess we’ll see lol. My name’s Matt btw and I’m looking forward to meeting some of you tomorrow. Are these rides a pack a lunch kind of thing or is it more of a power drink and energy bar ride? Its about time for some nice riding weather, here’s hoping!
Cheers.
IM not riding, but all the rides I have been to or Post are pack your own energy bar/ nutrigrain bar and water or gatorade type beverage… on longer rides circa 110… There is sometimes a Dep stop, but it is bascically a dep stop. Pick up Coke/ cookies, etc
Hey, thanks for the info. That’s pretty much what I was banking on.
Were these '09-'10 ultegra chains by any chance?
