Training Intervals

Hi,
Do you guys have any good interval combinations to do on the trainer? I get sick of doing the same ones. I will break the ice:

10 min warmup

1 min Z5 (max), 2 min Z2. Repeat 5 times.

5 min Z2

1 min Z5 (max), 2 min Z2. Repeat 5 times.

i like to do a pyramid sometimes
usually 75% or higher for each interval

2 min on
2 min rest

5 min on
5 min rest

8 min on
8 min rest

5 min on
5 min rest

2 min on
2 min rest

Good stuff! I tried it yesterday. The second 5 min block hurts after the 8min tempo. Have you got any more suggestions?

I would try shortening the rest periods every time. Maybe by 5%. It would train the body to recover more quickly until the rests are only a minute or two no matter how long the “on” is.
