VELOGAMES Fantasy Cycling 2013 (Classics)

Velogames has (finally) released its fantasy cycling platform. This one is MUCH more transparent than that FSA nonsense but only lasts through specific races. Currently, registration has opened for the Classics. The races included for this round are:

4 25 Mar 11:00 Gent-Wevelgem Gent Wevelgem Cat 2
5 01 Apr 09:30 Ronde van Vlaanderen Brugge Oudenaarde Cat 1

Important rule #1: You get to switch your riders between races
Important rule #2: Pick 12 riders for a total of 100 “velocredits”

The scoring system is quite detailed and gives points for breakaways, etc. Check them out in detail (if you care) at http://www.velogames.com/spring-classics/2013/scores.php

Check it out at http://www.velogames.com/. Registration for Milan San Remo ends Sunday morning before the race starts (9am CET to be specific).

McGill Cycling has a ‘Mini League’ in which we can easily compare (and trash talk) each other’s performance. The code is 14154349. To join a league, go to your team page - click ‘Join League’ and type in the code.

ready to get spanked again?

Hoo yah, this is always a gas!

Fantasy sports =

I’m in

I’m feeling good about this team.

Decent pete, decent.

Results from MSR are up:

1 “53x11” Andrew G 115
2 “Schleck Shoot” Dennis 108
3 “ALL OF THE ALTITUDE” DavidF 107
4 “Smoke Yourself Thin” Pete 98
5 “Slow Ducks p/b Its Cold Outside” Mike Baird 97
6 “Wheel Stuck” Yony 90
7 “The Great White North” Philippe Tremblay 82
8 “L`attaque des malabars” French Overlord 50

Andrew Gallai takes in the cake in MSR due to a surprise win by Gerald Ciolek supported with a solid performance by Ian Stannard.

Get ready to switch your team in preparation for “Dwars door Vlaanderen” this Wednesday.

I love that race purely for its name

Remember, you can only make 24 rider transfers total over the next 10 races. Choose wisely, my friends.

transfers open

Managing my 24 rider transfers over 12 races:

… freemasons

Well… I wonder if Jocelyn kept Voeckler.

Surprise win by Gatto!

This site doesn’t update fast enough

I need to know how many people I’m beating at all time

Post-Dwars door Vlaanderen:

1 “53x11” Andrew G 140
2 “Smoke Yourself Thin” Pete 138
3 “ALL OF THE ALTITUDE” DavidF 125
4 “Schleck Shoot” Dennis 125
5 “Slow Ducks p/b Its Cold Outside” Mike Baird 116
6 “Rugbyleague” Ian Bury 98
7 “Wheel Stuck” Yony 96
8 “The Great White North” Philippe Tremblay 94
9 “L`attaque des malabars” French Overlord 68

Andrew Gallai is still in the lead but invested many of his transfers to do so. Pete wins the shrewdness award for being in second (and only 2 pts behind first!) while only using 3 transfers.

E3 is this Saturday and Gent is next Monday. Get ready to rock.

I used up 12 transfers before I realized there was a limit of 24… damn.

You should have heard david and I laughing maniacally…muahahahaha

To be more accurate, E3 is this Friday, and Gent is this Sunday.
Remember, use each transfer as if it were your last

I am god damn late
