Let me start out by saying that I love this bike. As a racing machine, I’ve never ridden anything like it, and it simply devours rough, technical climbs. Even more surprisingly, it will really shred on the downhills too, giving me even more confidence than I should probably have on a bike this light.
The only thing is, I want a trailbike that I’m not afraid to jump and hit drops with, and this is just not the bike for that. It is meant for winning races.
So if you want to step up your game and try racing mountain bikes in a more serious way, this is the bike (and its badass black to boot).

I have two sets of wheels for the bike: the stock DT swiss wheels, which I have set up tubeless with specialized Storm XC mud tires (amazing in the wet) and then an ultra-lightweight set of Stans ZTR rims with the new Specialized Renegade tires, which I custom built myself. Using this wheelset I took second place in the Mens Elite at Le Raid Massif du Sud this year.
I’m asking $2250 for the bike with the stock wheels, but for friends of mcgill cycling, I could do better than that. If you are also interested in the race wheels, either separately or as a package with the bike, we can work with that as well. I’m thinking the wheels are worth about $1000 for the set (with titanium DT swiss skewers and a (mostly) titanium XTR cassette. They are lighter than most road wheelsets. Front wheel with no tire or rotor on it was 660 grams. Again, we can work on the price.
I need to get rid of this stuff. Racing has been expensive this summer.
