ATTN Cyclocrossers

On the eve of the Canadian National Cyclocross Championships, the City of Ottawa has banned cyclocross in public parks after 20 years of competition. Read the details here and here

Ottawa’s own Derrick St John and Natasha Elliot are both favourites for tomorrow’s championship race among big names such as Geoff Kabush, so it’s clear this program is producing national caliber athletes. If you have a problem with this decision please write a letter to the city of ottawa. It will only take 15 minutes and every voice needs to be heard

Thank you

Wow - that’s unbelievable. And here I was thinking that the city of Ottawa was a bicycle-friendly administration. Who would you recommend I sent a letter to? The mayor’s office, or the park’s department manager?

The Mayor of Ottawa

I have to point out that Kabush isn’t racing tomorrow. Sorry
