Like I said, I’m not going anyway. You want to make sure you have enough people in the C TTT too though.
The e-mail has been sent to everyone who is confirmed as attending.
If you didn’t receive it and were expecting to, let me know ASAP
please forward the email to me valina.sintal@mail.mcgill.ca
I’m down for the TTT.
Go hard and have fun! Show them how Quebec cyclists handle snow!
And come back with a race report! We’re falling well behind here…
A message from Joe
Folks,
Within a pretty short span this morning we went from predictions for
some unpleasant but fairly standard weather this weekend, to some real
concerns about snow and so on. Obviously we’re monitoring the
situation and will let everyone know what’s going on as possible.
However, right now, we’re expecting to race both days. If there is
snow going into Saturday morning then the road race will likely not be
feasible. However, MIT and the Beanpot crew are working with the
townships to line up a TTT and ITT for Saturday that should be both
challenging and feasible to conduct even if there is snowfall. This
may require some delay before starting Saturday morning but the
townships, Westminster in particular, are very supportive and that
plan seems very feasible. Predictions for Sunday are just rain, so
the Tufts crit should be wet and wild but otherwise good to go.
Again, we’ll keep everyone updated, but the assumption should be that
we’re on for a full weekend of racing, though with perhaps a different
format than planned. Beyond that, worse comes to worst, the ECCC
certainly never lacks in capacity to entertain itself [1].
Thx

The trip is still ON, but pack your warm clothes!
Further weather updates:
Hey ECCC,
For those of you watching the weather, you may have noticed that there
is a Nor’easter headed roughly straight for Westminster, and while
Saturday is looking nice, if not windy, the Friday’s snow is likely to
leave the circuit course in very bad shape. While I’d love nothing
more than to see the circuit course crush the souls of ECCCers, I
would not particularly like to see it crush their bones or bikes*. In
order to guarantee you some good racing, we’ve decided to extend the
TTT to 12.6 miles (two laps) and run an ITT of about 6.3 miles (one
lap) in the afternoon. The time trials will be run down South St. in
Westminster (as originally planned), but the turnaround will is being
moved further up the road (to the Westminster town line) and the
start/finish will be moved right next to the parking lot.
I’ll be updating the course maps later this afternoon, and the new
schedule is as follows. A more detailed schedule will follow once
pre-registration closes.
We look forward to seeing everyone out there this weekend, and hope
you’ll have great races.
Cheers,
Zach

This just in: our very own Josef Fr#%^@dorfer takes second in the C1 ITT
Congrats Josef!
Thank Dennis.
I would like to say a special thanks to all the riders who raced this weekend.
Congratulations to Emily for her 10th place finish in the Tufts crit, an amazing achievement. It lived up to its reputation as being the hardest, most technical crit in the ECCC.
As well as to Jennifer for her excellent pack riding skills and positioning in the main field.
Phil sorry about your lunch, excellent off road and on the road cycling. As well as your epic tt finishes.
Thanks to Liam for contributing to the Canadian Coalition.
It made for a successful and fun weekend of racing
