Just can’t let 2 beautiful days go by without getting some riding in. Looks like the rain should hold off for the next few hours, so let’s meet at the Roddick Gates by 4:15 and we’ll go to the F1 track (does anyone know if it’s open?) for some fun - a few laps, some sprinting and pacelining if we want. If the track’s not open, we can opt for the canal instead.
F1 is potentially still a mess. It usually takes a couple weeks of snow melting before there is no standing water on the track.
I’m about to go out and roll around in the hills, they are probably fairly clean, just salty.
I also hear that St. Patrick street is in decent shape to get down to the west island
Ah ok bummer. I’m going to have to cancel anyway because I just realized I got a flat on the way home somehow, and the rain looks like it will come sooner than I thought
I was just over at the F1 track and it is fucking horrible. The entire track is wet and there is snow still about 5 ft high and encroaching about 4 feet on either side. Although, if you don’t mind riding over there, it makes a great study spot
Jeez ok thanks, won’t be heading over there anytime soon
Was the riding/commuting over to the F1 okay? Bike paths that is.
Nice photo Sarah
Roads only, bike paths were shit
Thanks Dennis - photo credit goes to Ruth
How were the hills today?
“I want to ride my bicycle!” - hmmm, I think I know where this title is coming from…
How about tomorrow-saturday if it doesn’t snow, just wear a lot of warm clothes?
I’m going on a field trip Friday-Saturday (yes they still have those in college!), but I’d say go for it if there’s no snow!
