CUCC Criterium

Scott - You took classes last fall right? That means your graduation is after September 1st 2011. Good to race.

I was supposed to have Leader’s Jerseys for the Road Races but because Mercier and Saint Philippe cancelled we don’t anymore. I have been planning on surprising you day of with one to wear at the Crit as returning champion…

How do you feel about an armband instead?

Racing for both.

@Adam - Thanks for lending the Jersey!

Also I was wondering if I should do Novice University Women or just regular University Women? I’ve never raced before…

can I race S 1/2 with a day license?

it’s also not a very long or difficult ride from downtown.

Racing for both!

ummm on their website its not clear if i need i license, if i need one where do I get it ??

Samuel, I got a response from the FQSC today on that subject. I am ironing out the details so that I may post the right answer once instead of changing it a couple times.

Specifically I do not know about your fee Samuel because you qualify as a “Junior”.

Stay tuned.

I shall

For one day licenses we are doing a bundle deal - Day license + First race registration = $30

Everything is taken care of at the race site.

i just bought a new dress…

so does that mean you’re the podium girl?

Im in then !

I will be making a new post for Travel to this race so that I can use a new signup.

Anybody who is coming who has a car PM ASAP so that I can plan ahead. Dennis and I are putting together details tonight and tomorrow.

Watch for details.

Ok wow im so confused by all the different categories… i never raced before (except ste-martine 2 weeks ago), i have a mcgill jersey and im a mcgill student since a week now but i dont have any mcgill student card yet (anybody knows where i can get that? ill work on that today…) whats the difference between all women categories and university women… i think i should do the first one (novice at 9h15) and then another one? which one? and im sorry in dont have a car anymore.

So for the women racers there are 3 categories.

1)Novice Uni - For people who have never been in a race before or are not confident with big groups in a race setting.

2)FQSC Women’s Race - This will include Juniors, Seniors and Master Womens racers.

3)Uni Women - This will be any University Women who are not Novice.

You can race in two of the races if you would like. After riding with you yesterday Sun I would recommend the Uni Women’s race.

If you’re feeling strong that morning then the FQSC Women’s Race in the morning with the Uni Women’s race in the afternoon.

Adam, knowing that my guts will be ripped out in Uni Men, could I demote myself to Novice?

The Novice Uni Race is designed to give everybody a chance to try a high paced race setting in a peleton.

If you promise not to attack off the first corner and TT by yourself then racing in the Novice Race is going to be great Peleton practice.

Sounds fair! Would I be able to do all 3 races then?

ok thanks Adam! too bad that the FQSC is before the Uni one
