The first is for people riding in cars leaving (location TBD) at 6:40 am so that we can arrive at the course set up everything for the day. This includes any volunteers and Uni Novice Racers (Men and Women) Let us know in the thread if you will be bringing a bike or not.
The Bike ride with Dennis. This will leave from the Roddick Gates at 8:15 am and will arrive on course ~ 9:30 am. The course is ~ 20 km away. This will arrive in plenty of time for the Uni Men’s Race and for any spectators to see the finish of the Novice Uni Race.
Cars leaving from a location TBD at noon. This is for people wanting to volunteer in the afternoon or for racers in Uni Women or later.
If you can bike to the course that is the easiest for Dennis and I to organize. Thank you everybody.
We just need people to race, bring others to race and to volunteer while they are there.
Also if nobody signs up for the noon car we will not be sending one back to pick anybody up. We also will not have a spot for you in a car if you do not sign for the 6:40 time.
I will be doing the final head count Thursday at 8pm.
I will either have a car, driving in from Ottawa Saturday morning - what time should I aim to be at the race course / can I have someone’s cell so I can find the McGill people? If this is the case I can swing by and pick up up to 3 ppl and 1 (maybe 2) bikes on the way to the race.
If I don’t have a car, I will be bussing in, and then will join the 6:40am group from Mcgill gates.
DStrong (Dustin right?) - If you want to drop off the wheels at my apartment sometime this week I’ll bring them to the course with the tents.
Hannah - Awesome - My number is 514-458-3685. The University Women’s race does not start until 2:20pm so if you arrived by 1pm you’d have time to get registered, dressed and warmed up.
I’m still not sure if i’ll be able to make it, but if I do can I buy a full season’s license on site? I don’t have my license yet, and no sense buying a day license if I’m going to buy a full license anyways. I assume I can buy the full license since FQSC will be on hand to deal with licenses?
The man who gives everybody their licenses at their first race is going to be there. I saw a person fill out the form and pay $120 at Contecour to buy their year license so I believe you will be able buy one yourself. Maybe bring your ID and proof you are a Quebec Resident to guarantee you can get it.
Yony, Gallai, MikeB - You will meet the Neron Vehicle at 930 Courecelle (Their new store on the island a few blocks from the St. Henri Metro station)
Neal and Samuel - Meet me at my apartment 3468 Rue Drummond at 6:30am. We will pack up all the fruit into Neals Car, put the bikes on the bike rack and head to the Course to arrive as soon as possible.
Everybody else - Ride safe and I will see you on the course.
We will NOT be sending a car to leave at Noon.
If anybody has any questions email me or call me 514-458-3685
