F1 and escatade?

I’m thinking about places to go do a ride on thursday… has anyone been to the F1 in the last couple days? How are the conditions?
Also, has anyone managed to make it out to the escatade?

I’ll probably come if you’re going. I’d love to know the conditions too though.
EDIT: I’m guessing we can probably call the parc and ask them. Im sure they love to have cyclists on the F1 track at any time of the year.

F1 is a bit wet but the barriers are still not up.

They have just set up the barriers on the JC bridge though.

Define “a bit wet” ? Is it decently ridable or more like last week ?

I didn’t go last week, but there are mostly sections 1-2 meters long which have run-off water from melting snow, and the section that dips down a bit opposite the sprint area has quite a few of those wet spots. They are wet enough that you’ll kick water up, but nothing that’s a puddle, just surface water.

Thanks Jon. You should put it up on the road conditions thread too.

leaving for the f1 track at 4:30 anyone?

Ide be down for some f1 at 430

I’ve been riding the escatade for a couple of weeks. It’s perfect, the paths are clear getting to it, no snow, no puddles. The only problems are you have to dismount to get through the small space in the gate where the path enters the bridge, and it’s closed on the Ste. Catherine side (unless you want to walk through the underbrush to get out).

Right now we’re meeting at the gates at 3h30. We are going to the track first and them mount-pleasant.
I’ll probably ride the estacade another day, like tomorrow or saturday when the weather gets above 10 degrees. Ill post a ride if people want to join.
