They are. 105 9 speed used no triple-specific shifters, they are set up so that if you have a double you just use the bottom two clicks.
I also have some crankarms if you want to rock the double.
So bike not totaled, just cockpit? That’s good news!
Haven’t Heard back, but from what he said over the Phone. it’s basically Fork, Bars, Stem, Shifters, Wheel ( Taco)… But I think the frame survived… I kinda do want to rock a double, but I’m gonna to wait to see how the Bike is first…
If the driver was at fault, you should be able to get his insurance to pay. If you don’t have insurance yourself, it’s nasty, long, and lots of trouble, but my friend was stuck in that situation last fall, and eventually he did get the check.
To clarify, the brakes do or do not come with useable pads?

how about $100 for the shifters and front/rear derailleurs? Everything is compatible with a 9 speed double? Maybe I’ll upgrade the commuter this winter…
