Potentially the last mountain bike race of the season for us quickly approaching! If you’re not sure whether to come or not, DO!
I’ll be sending out an email today with final details about this weekend. Don’t forget to sign up today otherwise it’s 5$ more expensive day-of! Also for the relay, I’m going to bring some US$ and if we people are keen to do a relay we can decide on Saturday or Sunday and register.
Vince, what category are you racing?
I was thinking of the B. Not that I killed it in the C division, but I want to do longer races and I still feel I can finish mid pack (hopefully)
looking at the results from the last race, I actually sped up in both races since my handling improved. So doing a longer race is beneficial for me.
ok, I’ll probably race B too then.
Last race I did C and was comfortably mid pack and that was my 2nd and 3rd ride since March. Seeing as this will be ride 7 and 8 I feel I am more fit. Hopefully no wasps nest this time as well! I make no promises though
I’ve also shaved, so I’m like 5 pounds lighter. That has to count for something
You’ll be flying through the woods, Vince, although you definitely looked more intimidating with your mountain-man beard.
Well, I got a haircut, so I’m matching you on the weight loss
I finished mid pack in C, wonder if I should make the up grade just to make an intimidating McGill presence at the start. I don’t know how I’d fare on the ripping descents with rock rolls and sweeping bridges and the technical climbs…
In the race I did people were spaced out finishing over a 25 minute range, I don’t think it really matters too much. If you finish mid pack or last, good chance you are riding alone. That is what a lot of my race was like.
Another great race weekend! Thanks to all who came out and tried their hand at cross country, short-track, dual slalom, and super D racing this fall. It was great to see people out for their first races!
Thanks for organizing Christina!
