Hi friends,
I’m selling my Garmin Edge 800. It has served me well but it’s time to move on. It continues to work like a charm. If you’re going to SC I can leave all my awesome routes on it and have a special deal for you.
Why do you need a Garmin Edge 800?
- So you don’t get lost on your rides! It has NA and European maps loaded on it and you can make and upload more of them by using Strava (Strava->Dashboard->My routes->Create new route [if you’ve never done this go do this now, ideally during class to make time go by faster])
- Instead of writing directions on your top tube like the pros you can just have the computer tell you where to go. It even tweets like a bird if you go off route.
- To pair with all those training accessories and train more efficiently: I.E. heart rate strap, cadence sensor, power meter etc.
- It tracks a bunch of things for you to stare at while you are riding like speed, temperature, elevation gain, gradient, and distance.
- To show your friends how awesome you are by uploading all your rides to Strava with clever names that make people think: Holy crap so EPICCCC
- To throw at cars, competitors, or riding buddies when they piss you off.
Still with me? Well all the above can be yours for the fantastic, one-time-only price of $100.
Who do you need to be to be eligible for this exclusive deal?
- A poor student who is new or newish to cycling
- A cyclist who is so stoaked about riding they plan to race, train and do all sorts of fun things with McGill Cycling
- Someone who is NOT graduating this year! (You people will have jobs [hopefully] and can pay full price for your own Garmin)
- You plan to hold onto this thing for a while, maybe even use it until the sad day comes that it dies
Bonus discounts available if you can prove to me you have been training indoors with the team. More bonus discounts if you are coming to SC and have never raced.
If you are interested please PM with your name, social insurance number, a picture of your passport, and a credit card number.
