GP Brossard (Sunday, May 6th)

From what I hear, this is a fantastic crit course, and it’s only 17km away! (biking distance!)

Race times are:

11h00 Women (Jr, Sr, Ms) – 60 minutes
15h20 Senior 3 – 60 minutes
16h25 Senior 1-2 – 75 minutes

Sign up if you’re planning on going, we’ll either meet up sometime on Sunday and ride over, or consider using vehicles.

For this event the race fees of all McGill racers will be funded by the team.

Be sure to sign up sooner rather than later (Thursday night is prefered) so we can plan out the details of the day.

Should be a good one! The weather is looking good for the weekend =D

Cheers,

Ride over and picnic!

That’s what I’m thinking!

Biking there sounds like a fantastic warm up

This crit is the best!

I would like to bike there seeing as it’s so close.

I would have a car available if it is absolutely necessary.

If it is super raining then we might ask to use the car to bring the tents to be under.

That is the only time I think that a car is necessary for Brossard.

just signed up, just saw the post now

Looks like we’re an all senior 3 and 1-2 group

Let’s meet up at the gates at 1:45pm tomorrow and depart soon after. That should give us enough time to have a relaxed ride over to the course, get everyone registered, and have the senior 3’s ready to rock for their 3:20 start time after an additional few hard warm up laps.

Things to consider for tomorrow:
1.) Pin on your numbers before leaving the house (if you already have them)
2.) Bringing an extra 1L bottle of water in your back pocket just to be sure you have enough water for before, during, but especially AFTER the race. They may have some food and water available, but I wouldn’t chance it.
3.) Even though you probably won’t eat during the race, bring some snacks for after.
4.) Bring some money just in case any food runs/stops are made after races
5.) It will be warm tomorrow, but you might want to bring a light jacket just in case you start feeling a bit chilly after your race.
6.) Might want to bring a small backpack/drawstring bag to carry/store your extra junk

This is basically the route we’ll take tomorrow:

Get excited! This will be a great day!

According to Google: 16.6k in 1 hour 3 minutes. I’m pretty sure my cat could bike faster than that

You’ll need to take J-C bridge, since the F1 bridge is closed for repairs.

Thanks Jon!

Come early and cheer for my race!!

If others will keep me company until the afternoon races, I’ll come. I might miss the start though since I can’t leave before 10:30am-ish. Otherwise, as there’s a huge hole between the races, I might just go later. Also not sure how my leg’s going to be tomorrow after a mountain bike crash today.

Just kidding. Can’t go! My sister’s bday celebration is earlier in the day than I had expected. Kill it guys!!

Your cat sounds fast. Put your jersey on him and send him out.

Leaving La Cordée around 10:15am. Will make it for the women start and picnic until the men races.

i’ll ride down with you guys too. Trusting someone knows the way!

Wohooo yesterday was awesome!! Such nice weather and great racing (and a spectacular crash)! See you all on Saturday!

Damn, I thought this was the sunday after the CUCC crit. What spectacular crash?
