The biggest race McGill Cycling competes in is coming up, and registration on Bikereg has been open since July 4th! The Green Mountain Stage Race takes place in the Green Mountains of Vermont, and is an ideal time to test your mettle at the end of a season’s worth of training.
Act fast, because REGISTRATION PRICES INCREASE BY $20 ON JULY 9th AT NOON.
REGISTER QUICKLY. There are field limits and they fill up quickly! You don’t want to be forced to race in a category that doesn’t fit you, or worse - not race at all!
In order to race with McGill and have your racing subsidized (exact subsidy TBD) you must have paid your team fees (on top of your club fees). Expect to pay McGill Cycling a fee for transportation and accommodation (exact amount TBD once we get a sense of how many people are going).
The racing takes place over the Labour Day weekend (Aug 29th - Sept 1) - 4 races over 4 days.
Here is a breakdown of the stages:
Aug 29th - ITT (5.7 miles, rolling)
Aug 30th - Circuit Race (19 mile rolling circuit)
Aug 31st - Road Race (point-to-point race with a finish on App Gap, includes K/QOM, and sprint competitions)
Sept 1st - Criterium (1km, 6 corners, fast, technical)
If you are interested in doing this race, or are seeking accomodation with us, sign up so that we know to e-mail you. Deadline is Wednesday, July 19th, at 11:59pm.
