I was kindly reminded by none other than William Mazurek that this thursday is Halloween KOM! This means that everyone has to make an effort to come in a costume of sorts. Not sure about a 3000 point deduction, but you will be outlawed if you do not turn come dressed up.
Let’s meet at the base of houde at 6.40AM, such that we leave promptly at 6.45AM.
A debate arose last week about the manner in which people set off at the start of a climb. My take on this is that while we cannot enforce a start line at the beginning of each hill, it only makes sense to regroup before taking off. I agree that re-grouping can be ambiguous, but I think we are mature enough to realise when it’s fair play!
Citing E. Burge’s post on KOM rules and regulations (KOM/QOM #1 - The Beginning), riders must first regroup before starting the climb:
Also you might want to check your brake pads, as there is a tiny bit of descending on this ride (note though that it doesn’t matter for the competition - we regroup at the beginning of each climb.)
3000 point deduction levied against @adithyalaks for undue sass in ride description and dressing up as “guy making scary face” at the 2016 Halloween KOM
