This morning I destroyed my rear derailleur attacking on Ridgewood.
Thanks to some great advice and help the bike will be repaired in time for Saturdays Turkey Ride. Special thanks to Martin who has offered his services to help install my new hanger and derailleur.

You could also try and buy/set up a new derailleur at neron tomorrow (but I bet you knew that)
True story, I could easily set up a derailleur with you saturday night. Would have to get your bike to my place tough (near atwater metro)

That’s what we call “Pulling a Dhruv”
I’m going to bring the bike into the shop where I bought it and see if they have the parts I need. Hopefully it won’t cost be a fortune.

If I were in your shoes, this would be my plan of action:
1)Take eric up on his offer, dude is just as skilled as anyone who’s going to work on your bike.
2)Phone Cycle Regis, or wherever you bought your trek- ask them if they have a derailleur hanger for whatever bike you own.
3)Go to Neron tomorrow and get the parts you need for cost.

*buy said derailleur hanger.
You’re going to save a huge amount doing this. Also, buying beer, or a meal for someone who offers to work on your bike is always welcomed.
Thanks Drew for the feedback! Eric, I’ll take you up on the offer as long as I can get all the parts by Saturday, if not maybe we can find another time that works cause that would be awesome if you could help me out
By the way my bike is a Trek Madone 4.5 with Shimano 105

We had madone hangers at la cordee in stock this summer. You should probably call first to check for that one in particular with the year of the bike.
