A little birdie from queens told me that the first 50 registrants get a free T-shirt…

So what are we waiting foooo
An email has been sent, PM me if you didn’t get it.
Can we define classes A and B for those who know nothing?
My understanding:
A = good riders
B = not as good riders
Perhaps someone with more experience can comment here, but I am taking it as:
A - Lots of racing experience (>5 criteriums)
B - New to racing (< 5 criteriums)
Also, I think you are only allowed to race on a day licence in B.
Compared to ECCC, this is a very coarse rider categorisation. I’m sure there will be racers who can’t keep the pace in A, and likewise a strong breakaway group in B.
Okay cool
Tommy, go B.
I can only presume this is similar to the CUCC crit last may where we had cat A and cat B also. Cat A is easy to understand, but for that race the caliber of cat B was guys that were racing intro and D during the ECCC. They struggled in the early season racing FQSC senior 3.
It’s hard to tell what this race will be like, but if you’re planning on racing ECCC cat B or A, you are definitely cat A for the queen’s race. If you’re planning on racing ECCC intro or D, you should go into the cat B for queen’s. If you are going to race ECCC cat C… maybe a bit of a toss up, but I’d probably recommend pulling high socks up and jumping into the A catagory for queen’s. Unless you’re an ECCC cat C racer who think’s it’s a big step and is scared he’ll get dropped.
If you raced sr. 3 last summer you should go into cat A for this crit.
Got confused: Chose J class.
but seriously I’ll go B and draft those martha fockers hard
Just a reminder to confirm with me by tonight if you want to race.
So are we bringing our winter tires to Kingston?
Ugh… at least our longest race is an hour and not 298km.
High of 3C on Sunday, tons of snow yesterday and a another 5cm by Friday, what’s the plan?
I would say the plan is to take corners very carefully.
Is there a chance of the race being cancelled because of snow?!
I mean, not that I mind racing in 2 feet of snow!
As of now, we’ve scrapped all the plans for a Friday departure because getting a Sat. training ride in is obviously out of the question. I do believe though that the race will still go ahead; for god’s sake, you could shovel a crit course if you needed to, and word on the street is that there’s no snow on the roads in kingston. They didn’t get nearly as much as we did and it’s all melting.
Currently we are expecting to leave MTL at around 1:00PM saturday, but keep your ears open in the next few days.
Any new news regarding travel for this weekend?
Just sent an email.
Doesn’t look like I received it. Could you forward it on to me, Eric?
I have a park tool multi-tool wrench type thing that people were using for their pedals, an oldschool pedal strap, and a roll of packing tape that was left in the bike van if anyone wants to claim.
