Meet and Greet Ride: 10AM,Saturday, 22nd September 2018

Hi everyone (new and old!),

In keeping with our annual tradition, we will be hosting a meet and greet ride that serves two purposes:

  1. Allowing for new members to mingle with old ones over a ride.
  2. Determine what skill level individuals best fit with.

In order to achieve these two goals, we will be going out to the sea-way, which is 50 kilometers out and back from downtown. We will have three groups going; beginners, intermediate, and advanced. You will have to choose which group you would best belong to.

Once we reach the seaway, we will have staggered starts, with the advanced group going first, and subsequently intermediates and beginners. This means that if anyone gets dropped from a group, they can catch on to the group(s) behind them.

Please note that you will have to bring your own bike to this ride. The team does not have any equipment to give out. However, if this is what is preventing you from riding with us, please contact me so that we can talk about how you could potentially buy a good used bike and equipment.

Speeds will be approximately:

-beginner: 25 kph
-intermediate: 30-35 kph
-advanced: 40+ kph

We will be meeting at 10AM in front of the Roddick gates!

Here’s the planned route: https://www.strava.com/routes/15545960

Please sign up if you intend on coming
