Here’s what we got to offer everyone this year!
Jerseys
Elite Jersey ($65): A standard race-cut jersey.
Primo Jersey ($95): This is Verge’s top-quality jersey. It is more comfortable and made more a higher quality, more fitted material
Long Sleeve Jersey ($80): This is a very nice jersey for the cooler seasons. It’s insulated while still being slim & aero enough to race in.
Bibs
Elite Bibs ($70): These are the same bibs as last year and the design will remain unchanged.
Jackets & Vests
Pelta Jacket ($125): This is a very warm jacket that is wind & water resistant. It’s less aero than the long-sleeve jersey but significantly warmer.
Wind Vest ($60): These are great for layering on brisk days and are small and can be easily stored in your back pocket. Verge is no longer offering the vest we had last year but agreed to honour the pricing for the Elite Entropa Vest.
The Rest
Skinsuit ($105): These are primarily worn for crits and TTs, they are extremely aero, and you feel really fast in them. They will look great on you too
Cycling Cap ($15): Caps keep the wind and sun out of your eye, they draw sweat away from your brow and are stylish accessories.
Tall Cuff Socks ($8): These are stylish athletic socks that will match with the kit.
Winter Socks ($9): We train & race a lot in the cooler months, especially as a team. It’s a good idea to have some warmer socks for those chilly autumn months.
Knee Warmers ($30): Important for riding racing in cooler whether which we certainly do a lot of up here in the Great White North
Arm Warmers ($30): same story as Knee Warmers and can be easily removed during a ride
How to Pay: using PayPal through the Donate tab, check or cash, for other arrangements please email: jerseys@mcgillcycling.com
What should I buy?: I recommend buying more than one jersey in the chance that something happens to one of them, I lost my jersey in a crash this year and regretted not having an spare. A pair of bib shorts is an absolute must because they look great. It’s not a bad idea having a spare as well. It’s also nice for race weekends to have two kits so you aren’t stuck wearing the same sweaty clothing for three races. If you want to look smart and warm into December Pelta’s come highly recommended. Just ask Dhruv how much he loves his.
Primo vs. Elite: Primo is a higher quality, more comfortable, sleeker jersey. It’s a personal preference but if you want a really sexy jersey and can afford it get a Primo, you will be very happy.
Long Sleeve vs Wind Vest and Arm warmers: Long sleeve is comfortable and easy while the wind vest arm warmer combo is extremely versatile and can be switched out as the day warms up.
