As we approach once again the holy week of the cycling classics season, I invite you to join us in watching Paris-Roubaix together at my place. There’s no race for us that weekend, so it’ll be a perfect time to meet up. Bring some sort of breakfast cuisine (bonus points if it’s especially French or Belgian) if you can. I have numerous appropriate cooking methods, but if you require something particularly esoteric, please ask.
On this greatest of days, I will also not be opposed to/will be encouraging drinking a beer or two while watching the race, as long as:
It’s Belgian, or at least made in a convincingly Belgian style; and
It’s no less than 6% alcohol.
Rolling Rock will not be permitted entry.
tl;dr:
WHERE: My place (I’ll PM you the address the evening before, it’s in the Plateau)
WHEN: April 9th, 9:30am or thereabouts
WHY: To watch the greatest monument of our sport in fine company.
WITH: Food, appropriate quality beer
Simultaneous and contradictory beer snobbery and tolerance of bad knockoffs while refusing to acknowledge the indelible joy associated with cheap beer and,
Inappropriate use of a semicolon in place of an oxford comma.

I wasn’t aware Dieu du Ciel counted as bad beer.

I disagree. The use of a comma earlier in the list warrants the use of a higher-order delimiter, and the Oxford comma (or semicolon) is personal preference.
