South Carolina 2012

No joke I dreamed about the climb to Caesars head last night.

Looking good, guys !

also, people who didn’t get their bikes professionally tuned up at the end of last season should think seriously about taking them to a shop before we get down to Carolina. Don’t want to be stuck with your shifting out of wack and no brakepads on the hills of the south. It’s low season right now so you should have no problem sliding into a shop for a tuneup and getting the bike back with plenty of time to spare.

An email has been sent out with all the necessary information regarding departure times. If you have not received this email please post pronto and it will be forwarded to you.

Remember to bring your Bike Forms and PASSPORTS!!!

Some experience from last year:

we’ll be riding 5-6 hours a day, and the advanced group will be riding 100-180km, sometimes with >3000m of climbing. Bring stuff to put in your water. These days are exhausting, and you’ll need to eat while you ride. It will also be cold on some of these rides, so nutrition is even more important. Also a little American $$, so you can buy stuff at the roadside stands.

Obviously, also, tubes, allen keys and all that.

Yeeeeehaa

OMG JONATHAN IS COMING!!

yeah, don’t forget to bring your OWN spare tubes with valve stems that are the right length for your rim!

Have an awesome trip everyone!

Hey, if anyone has some twist ties, could they bring them on the trip? I need to attach my computer’s speed sensor

and by twist ties I mean zip ties of course

I’ll bring what I have, but they’re quite thick and don’t fit in some computers. Worse comes to worst, I used dental floss for more than a year…

Pictures? Stories? Stats?

Wolf mountain best ride ever

stats on beer consumption saw a significant rise from previous years

We worked out.

I put some pictures up on flickr.
