OK, so I’m going to Toronto for the first time of my life, but it won’t be for cycling
I’ll be attending the Canadian Academy of Sports annual conference at the Westin Harbour Castle (The Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto. 1 Harbour Square, Toronto, ON M5J 1A6).
I thought that instead of staying at this very expensive place, in a fancy room, alone, I should try and see how’s (family) life in the biggest Canadian city.
Ideally you are close to that Westin “castle”, or there’s a metro nearby, or a bixi-like system, or I’ll just take the taxi and bill it to my supervisor 8)
I’m planning on buying train tickets and would be arriving on Wednesday May 9th around 10pm. I would be leaving Saturday after the conference around 6pm.
thanks in advance!

well Vic is from there, don’t know what her parents would say, but in any case you should check out Couchsurfing, which has thousands of hosts in TO.
In case you’re unfamiliar with the site, there are many “groups” or profiles, so you can choose your hosts according to mutual interest. There are many bike-related groups, probably even medical-related groups. Check it out!
Hey Mat, I’m in Oakville which is a 20 minute train ride away, but unfortunately I’m a guest in my current accommodation and shouldn’t be inviting sub-guests, wish I could help.
