Specialized Allez 52cm, Carbon seatstays and Campy Centaur Carbon

Yes, the time has come. My beloved Specialized Allez is on the market. It is a 52cm, custom spec built with 10 speed Campagnolo Centaur Carbon, Mavic Ksyrium Equipe wheels, and Continental GP4000s tires. The cassette in the back is 10-13-14-15-16-17-19-21-23-25, and the drivetrain teeth show no signs of wear, it being Campagnolo and all. The chain was replaced at the end of last summer, so it still has tons of life left in it. The bike was ridden for three seasons.

The frame has carbon seatstays and a FACT carbon fork. It is one of the smoothest-riding aluminum framed bikes out there, and Specialized no longer makes the Allez with carbon seatstays as a cost-cutting measure. The bike and drivetrain are in generally pristine condition. There is a small cosmetic dent on the seattube by the front derailleur clamp, the result of poor packaging. The bike has never been crashed, and the frame has only a couple tiny scratches on it. I reserve all of my crashing of roadbikes to Cannondales.

Also please note that it is classic Specialized red/white/black, which happens to go perfectly with the McGill kit. When the bike was new (if this combination of parts had been available) it would have retailed for well over $2000. Own the most badass Allez in montreal! This bike is so special that it has made it onto the front page of mcgillcycling.com several times! In fact it’s there RIGHT NOW!

Asking $1200 to the general public, but McGill Cycling extra-secret friend pricing is in effect.

I will throw in John Danby’s chainrings for free.

All serious and non-serious offers considered.
