First of the new year. 7 weeks until SC and 9 weeks until the first Race.

The next two weeks one will focus on short aerobic intervals (less than 3 minutes) of high cadence and/or high resistance to get pedal stroke solid and to start adapting to recovering from intervals.

Weeks 3 and 4 will focus the anaerobic threshold for longer intervals.

Weeks 5 and 6 will have the workouts go deep into anaerobic and back. (so called “over unders”)

Week 7 will be the same as week 3 to bring down the intensity to be prepared for SC

SC - Hill Climbing. Lots of Hills. Hills.

Week 9 is the same as week 7, which is the same as week 3. To maintain until the First Race.

Post first race will be about maintaining for 3 weeks through a combination of everything.

We’re out of the “make it up phase” of my learning to teach spin classes. Time to get serious.
