So this is from the varsity council. Anyone interested? It looks like it will be happening right after spinning next Sunday.
Hello everyone,
Today is the official start of the McGill Athletics Christmas Food Drive! As all of you have shown your support for this initiative, we have gone a step further to make the first annual drive as big a success as possible. The Varsity Council and McGill Athletics have designated Sunday November 30th as Varsity Outreach Day. This involves all Varsity and Club athletes dedicating a few hours of their Sunday to do some groundwork and collect food from the McGill Ghetto and Residences. We hope all athletes will participate in this great cause and to provide incentive, all participants will receive 5x their regular ratio in Challenge Cup points for their team. Be sure to sign in and out to get your points!
The day goes as follows:
All teams will meet in Tomlinson Field House at 11AM on Sunday, November 30th. Every athlete must show up with one non-perishable food item to donate to the drive and a garbage bag. Also, all athletes must wear a team jacket or their team jerseys on top of their winter jackets. At the field house, the Varsity Council Executives will explain how to go about collecting food and where your team will be doing its groundwork. Two cars will be circulating throughout the Ghetto and the Upper Residences so that athletes may drop off food periodically. Once finished with your section of the neighbourhood, all reps must report back to the field house for a quick meeting. Varsity Outreach Day will come to a close by 2PM, so if your team is not done by then, they may stop and return to the gym.
I hope everything is clear, and we shall see each other next Sunday!
