Vermont Training Camp September 29th-30th!

Hey Everyone!

This is the McGill Cycling Team’s follow-up post regarding our fall training camp to Vermont for the weekend of September 29th & 30th! Please vote from the options below if you can commit to coming on our fantastic trip together.

In short, we will leave Montreal on Friday evening (September 28th), ride all day Saturday and most of the day Sunday and then return back to Montreal on Sunday evening (September 30th). This is a fantastic opportunity to get some great riding in and get to know the team better before the weather takes a turn for the worse. This trip is suited to intermediate and advanced riders, as it will entail a lot of climbing. We can look into forming groups of riders at a similar level, and each group could do whatever they feel comfortable with.

The Executive Team needs accurate numbers on who can attend so that we can officially book our accommodation and transportation. Therefore, please only vote if you are certain that you can attend. Also, please note if you have a car and can drive, as that would be a fantastic help to the team for transportation. Finally, ensure that you have valid and unexpired travel documents (your passport), as we will be crossing the country border into Vermont.

We cannot pin down an exact trip fee per person at the moment, but we can assure that we will try to make it as reasonable as possible (be willing to spend around $60-90 CAD per person). The more people that sign up, the cheaper it will be for everyone! The final day to sign up for this trip is Sunday, September 23rd, so be sure to sign up before then!

Note that this Vermont trip is only open to team-tier paying members as a subsidy is provided to offset trip costs. A team membership is totally worth it, and will more than pay off, if you choose to go on this trip, to South Carolina, and races during the spring.

Thanks so much! Please do not hesitate to reach out to any members of the MCT Exec team with any questions.

  • Yes, I can come and I have a car!
  • Yes, I can come but I don’t have a car!
  • Sorry, I can’t make it!

Yikes

Here are some more ride options:
Feel free to play around and create your own rides. The only thing I’d recommend is doing Lincoln gap east to west. Ohh and Lincoln gap is a bitch!
