Vuelta Brunch #2! Sept 10th 9:30am

Since the first Vuelta brunch went so well, let’s do a second one!

Come out on Saturday September 10th to watch the final GC battleground of this year’s Vuelta a España with McGill Cycling! It features over 4,000m vertical climbing spread over four 2nd category climbs before an uphill finish on Alto de Aitana, an uncategorized climb often compared to Mont Ventoux. Stage is estimated to end sometime between 11:20 and 12:00.

All new, returning, and prospective members are welcome to join and get in the spirit of racing. Sign up and I’ll PM you my location, which is not far from campus, close to Parc Jeanne Mance. Please contribute by bringing some food or drink (bagels, fruit, juice, etc). I have a functional oven/stove/microwave/toaster and plenty of quality coffee for us to use.

There’s always the possibility of doing some sort of ride after- the pros are in town for the GP Montreal starting at noon, and they often ride a few laps of Houde

Hope to see you here!

Afterwards, everyone should go lurk outside the Delta on President-Kennedy to ride with the WorldTour pro’s in town for the GP Montreal.

That’s at 4pm. Plenty of time to do both.

Yes, and watch Pete Watson ride 90k on the f1 track, and then me, running the half marathon!
